The second edition of Squid Craft Games, an event in Minecraft inspired by the hit series “Squid Game” created by South Korean director and screenwriter Hwang Dong-hyuk and released on Netflix in 2021, took place just over a year after its first season, from February 28 to March 5, 2023.

During the six days of this renewed competition, filled with new challenges and obstacles, SCG was the event with the most content creators participating that Eufonia Studio had organized. A total of 200 invited creators competed for the win. For the first time, and as a major innovation, an event of this magnitude was organized with both English and Spanish-speaking players simultaneously, featuring voices and rules in both languages through a localization system specifically created for the event.

Like the first edition, it was a Twitch Rivals event with a $100,000 prize for the winner. Once again, the main faces of the project were Auronplay, Rubius and Komanche.

This time, SCG had a peak of 1.6 million simultaneous viewers, with an average surpassing one million viewers and more than 22 million hours watched in just 20 hours on air.

Squid Craft Games 2 won the Esland Award for Best Content Miniseries in 2024, achieving the same award for two consecutive years.

This edition’s 12 challenges were set in the Valley of Monuments in the United States, honoring the English-speaking participants, and these games were completely original, inspired by other cultures and countries.

Shadoune, a French streamer creating content in Spanish, reached the grand final with a peak of 700,000 viewers, surpassing his personal record for simultaneous viewers. Meanwhile, Sapnap, an English-speaking winner, reached 300,000 viewers. The prize, as in the first edition, was $100,000.

Squid Craft Games 2 was a much larger production than the first edition. Eufonia Studio had a team of over 50 developers, artists, and collaborators who worked on the project. It was developed over more than 6 months to achieve its final result.
